What is Freesat?
The perfect alternative to Freeview is a Freesat installation. These days, more and more people are choosing to go with Freesat. Simply put, Freesat is a free to air satellite TV service which the BBC and ITV provide to viewers in the UK. The service is provided via a satellite dish, unlike Freeview which requires a TV antenna/aerial. So, this service requires you to have a Freesat dish installation, unless you already have a working and suitable Sky dish at your property. You will then need a Freesat receiver set up to enable you to watch Freesat TV.
After the whole initial Freesat set up, there are NO other costs and no monthly bills! Freesat gives you access to over 170 TV channels and 20 HD channels all absolutely free. With a Freesat HD system the picture is so good, that it’s up to five times richer than a standard TVs picture quality!
Freesat dish installation
All our Freesat dish installations come with a 3-year guarantee and are fitted with either a single or twin feed cable. A twin feed cable is required if you wish to connect to a Freesat recorder. When installing a dish for our Freesat installation service, we will endeavour to install it in a discreet location that meets your requirements.
Furthermore, care is taken to route the cabling to achieve the least visible route possible. Messy cables all over the front of your house are something we know you don’t want.
You may be lucky enough to have a working Sky dish already on your property complete with a twin feed cable, or you may even be current Sky customers looking to downgrade and save money by removing the Sky subscription. Either way, your Freesat installation and transition could not be more straight forward!
How much does it cost for a Freesat installation?
If you already have a working satellite dish and cable running to your TV, you will only need a Freesat box. Boxes can be bought from as little as £50 from most larger supermarkets. A recordable box will cost around £200.
Our Freesat dish installation price is from £129 and our full package Freesat installation including dish, twin feed cable and recordable box is from £389.
